Spanish Teacher K-8
As a Cincinnati native and graduate of Saint Ursula Villa and St. Ursula Academy, I have dedicated the last 15 years teaching at St. Mary School. Given the opportunity 8 years ago, I became the Spanish teacher for all grades and what an awesome experience it has been.
After attending universities in Ohio, Mexico, Spain and England, I have been able to incorporate my travels and love for language and culture with our students. I have earned Bachelor degrees in Social Studies Education, Spanish, Political Science and European Studies along with a double Master's Degree in English as a Second Language and Linguistics. With that, I strive to introduce global studies and Spanish as a world language to our students. During summer, I provide lectures at the University of Manchester that focus on Comparative Education and Social Linguistics. However, there is nothing better than seeing familiar faces and working with students eager to learn along with a supportive community.
Since my teaching career began, I have taught English, Social Studies, English as a Second Language and Spanish as a World Language. I love to help students explore the world of language and culture and to develop proficiency in speaking, comprehension, reading and writing.
