Spanish Teacher K-8
As a Cincinnati native and graduate of Saint Ursula Villa and St. Ursula Academy, I have dedicated the last 16 years teaching at St. Mary School. Given the opportunity 10 years ago, I accepted the role to teach Spanish for all grades.
After attending universities in Ohio, Mexico, Spain and England, I have been able to incorporate my travels, a love for language and culture with students. I have earned Bachelor degrees in Social Studies Education, Spanish, Political Science and European Studies along with a double Master's Degree in English as a Second Language and Socio-Linguistics. I have taught English, Social Studies, English as a Second Language and Spanish as a World Language. I love to help students explore the world of language, culture and to foster their develop in proficiency and achievement.
With that, I strive to introduce global studies and Spanish as a world language to students. During most summers, I join other teachers and conduct lectures at the University of Manchester with the focus on Comparative Education and Social Linguistics. However, there is nothing better than seeing familiar faces and working with students whom are eager to learn.
