Greek City-States & Governments

This week, we begin studies of Greek city-states (poleis). Students will detail the basic characteristics of  Greek city-states and describe the different forms of government that developed across the Greek peninsula. We will then take a closer look at the structure of Athenian democracy and Spartan Oligarchy. After comparing the two influential city-states, we will discuss the Polopennesian War and have a debate to determine the victor!
