About Me

Hello! My name is Samantha Sanders and I am your new 1^stgrade teacher! It is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be at Saint Mary’s! I student taught in CPS in both PreK and Kindergarten and am thrilled to be in 1^stgrade this year!

I attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated in 2011 with my bachelor’s degree in English and I recently graduated with my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from DePaul University this past June.

I was born and raised in Skokie, IL and when I’m not teaching I love running, snowboarding, and dance. I love sports, especially the Cubs and Blackhawks! In a nutshell, I have always loved kids and teaching has been my dream since I was in Kindergarten!
