This last week we had to do a challenge called the Bebras Challenge . We were tested on logical questions including math and coding. I enjoyed doing the challenges because it helped me think about how this could be used in everyday life. I hope we will have something like this again sometime soon even though it was a little stressful.
I felt the easiest challenge was the Gifts challenge. This included trying to figure out who got a gift and giving it to the right amount of people. Each person had a number of gifts that they gave and we had to figure out how to give the right amount and not confuse it with some other person's gift. I enjoyed this challenge because there wasn't too much thinking involved and it reminded me about Christmas.
The hardest challenge for me was the maze. It turned out to be a pattern. After I was told about how it had to be coded it made me think about how the program runs. The main rules for this challenge are to find out how the little triangle robot is to get to the green square (or the end). The hard part about this was you were limited to 12 blocks of code. I now understand how this problem is supposed to be solved.
This is my certificate that I received. I did not do so well but at least I tried. I only got 59/200.
