Photo recognition apps such as iNaturalist, Pl@ntNet and PictureThis can be helpful tools but are often not sufficient alone to provide a positive identification. We strongly recommend following up with a diagnostic tool like Wildflower Search which has a very good mobile app for apple or for android. It is reliably accurate and operates without internet connection when in the field. We recommend using this to confirm any ID from photo apps.
