Letter of the Week: Uu

Theme of the Week: Under my Umbrella! ☂️

Story of the Week: The Umbrella

What We're Learning: 

 April showers, bring May flowers! This week we will focus on the letter Uu.  We will complete different activities to practice writing letter Uu and identifying the sound letter U makes (short sound, as in up). We will make silly underwear hats & a letter U umbrellas. We will read the story "The Umbrella" by Jan Brett and work on retelling what happened in the story. 

We are continuing our math unit on numbers 11-20. This week we will focus on #15 and complete that page in our numbers books. 

We will begin working in our April journals to practice our fine motor/handwriting skills. 

We will read the story of David in our religion magazines. 

We will learn about animals and their different homes.
