🎃 Fall is in Full Swing in Preschool! 🍂

Fall is in full swing here in Preschool! Our classroom is all decorated for Halloween, we've been learning lots of fun pumpkin, fall, and Halloween songs, and we're getting excited for our Halloween Party!

This week, we will be learning all about the letter Pp and pumpkins! We will be working on our letter Pp packets, finishing up our October Journals, and making some fun crafts in centers! We will be turning the letter P into a pig 🐷 and creating an "Thumbpkin" art project using our fingerprints!

🎃 Here's a peek at some of the fun pumpkin activities we have planned this week:

• Pumpkin Investigation: We will dissect a pumpkin and explore all the different parts, both inside and out!

• How Big Is Our Pumpkin? Each child will cut a piece of string that they think will fit perfectly around our pumpkin. Then, we'll test them out to see who came the closest!

• Pumpkin Playdough: We will make some yummy-smelling pumpkin playdough using pumpkin pie spice.

• Spookley the Square Pumpkin: After reading this story, we will make our very own edible Spookley using a graham cracker and orange frosting.

• Sink or Float? We will make predictions about whether different-sized pumpkins will sink or float. Then, we'll put our guesses to the test with a fun science experiment!

👻 Looking Ahead to Halloween: Next week, we will be getting ready for all the Halloween fun! We have lots of exciting activities planned as we count down to our Halloween Parade and Party on Friday, October 30th! Just a reminder that you can begin sending in your child's Halloween treats next week. We will pass them out before our Halloween Party on Friday.
