Letter "C " ~ "Christmas Celebration" (Week 2)
What a wonderful time we are having learning about the letter ”C” and Christmas. We made Cookie Monster from our letter ”C” and had some Christmas cookies of course! In our sensory bin we had cranberries and the kids loved it. The children have been working very hard on completing their Christmas surprises for you. This past week we have spent a lot of time learning all about the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. The students seem very interested which is great to see. We also read books about following rules, keeping hands to ourselves and being a good friend. On Friday, we had a special visit from St. Nick and each of the students were given candy canes.:) The students have been working very hard, practicing their songs for the Christmas Concert and are so excited to perform for you. If you anyone would like your child's older siblings to attend the concert, you must send an email to each of the sibling's teachers to let them know. Ms. Hayes will take any sibling that sent an email to their teacher down to the church.
We will continue working on the letter “C” and our theme “Christmas Celebration” until Christmas break. This week we will be making paper cupcakes and have a cupcake for a special treat. Students will also continue to work on their Christmas special projects for you:) We will have a special station for the students to write letters to Santa, which is usually a favorite. We have Sugar Cookie sand in our sensory bin filled with everything to make "Christmas cookies". We will make a special baby Jesus ornament for your tree at home and continue to talk about advent/Christmas. Tuesday we will go to Santa's workshop so make sure you send your child with money/voucher and a list for who they are buying gifts. We will be celebrating Polar Express day on Friday, so remember to wear pajamas to school that day. Busy week ahead!
