We will be beginning chapter four on October 16th. Students will learn about the characteristics of groups of vertebrates as well as invertebrates. We will be comparing and contrasting these groups as we learn how incredible God's design for each group in this world that He created for us.
Lesson One: How can you classify animals?
Lesson Two: How are offspring like their parents?
Words to know: trait, vertebrate, invertebrate, arthropod, amphibians, birds, reptiles, mammals, sea jellies, worms, mollusks, inherit, instinct
There will be a separate test grade for Lesson 3
Lesson Three: What are the life cycles of some animals?
Words to know: larva, pupa, metamorphosis

Know all the vocabulary
Know some traits that are used to classify animals.
Know the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates and which group is larger.
Know the names of the five categories of vertebrates and be able to match them to a description of each group.
Be familiar with the invertebrate groups.
Know the life cycle of a butterfly.
Know all vocabulary.
Be able to identify behaviors as learned or instincts.
Be able to identify traits as acquired or inherited.
