Chapter 10: Fractions
Students will be learning about what a fraction is as well as numerators, denominators, unit fractions and comparing fractions.
Multiplication Madness on Wednesdays!
Beginning in the fourth quarter, students will take a mixed x0-12 quiz. These may NOT be retaken; however, we will drop the lowest two scores with the remainder being averaged for a test grade on the fourth quarter marking period.
A mixed x0-12 quiz will be given each Wednesday.
All quizzes are 25 problems. They will get 5 minutes to complete all 25.
Math homework is assigned every evening except Friday. (Unless there is a test or a chapter review.) Students are responsible to have their homework completed each day for us to review. Some assignments are graded on a credit/no credit bases. Others are collected and graded by me to ensure understanding. I do not tell them in advance which papers I will be collecting for a grade.
