Silver Trip Details

This tramp explores the tracks in the Waianakarua Reserve. It is three days and two nights in duration. The tracks are through manuka and kanuka forests opening out into tussock blocks with great hill top views out to the coast. This tramp will develop your route finding and bushcraft skill.

This is a three-day, two-night expedition to the West or East Matukituki Valley, tramping through open farmland into beech forest following the branches of the Matukituki River. This tramp challenges Year 11 and 12 students. It involves independently camping and exploring this magnificent area of the Aspiring National Park.
