Bronze Practice Tramp - Final week of the school year in conjunction with year 10 camp

Overnight expedition to Totara PeakHut base, tramping through open tussock 4WD tracks in the Totara Peak Station area overlooking Lake Benmore.  This tramp is a group challenge for Year 10 students at their end-of-year camp. It builds tramping and Camping skills. Students plan their routes and experience overnight camping, managing tenting and meals.

Bronze Qualifying Tramp  - Some ideas to inspire you 

Overnight expedition to Scout Hill Hut base, tramping through open tussock 4WD tracks in the Mt Dasher Station area.  This tramp introduces you to overnight camping and managing tenting and meals.

Chinamans Hut overnight expedition, tramping along the Otekaieke River bed and into open tussock country in the Dansey's Pass area.  This tramp challenges groups doing Bronze and can be extended into a Silver trip. It involves independently camping and exploring the local area. An extra night can allow you to climb into the upper basin and explore the Mt Cone or Mt Grayson area.
