Math: Fractions!
Students are using concrete materials and pictures to find equivalent fractions,estimate fractions, compare and order fractions, as well as add and subtract simple fractions. Students at this level need to see and explore a variety of fraction models, see how fractions are related to a unit whole, compare fractional parts of a whole, and find equivalent fractions.
Language Arts: Target Skills: Conclusions
Paired Text!
Students will use clues and evidence in text to understand a topic. Readers will use this text evidence along with their ideas in graphic organizers to record the evidence and draw conclusions so they understand the topic.
Informational text stories about Dinosaurs are featured this month! We had Mrs. Riley a Paleontologist visit and explain how excavations work and dinosaur dig sites! She even brought real dinosaur bones! Then we went on a virtual field trip to some dinosaur museums all around the world!
