We investigate patterns and strategies including place value, tables and algorithms.  This includes estimating sums and differences by rounding, front-end estimation and partial sums.

Descriptive Paragraphs:  If I lived in a Haunted House! What would you see, what would you hear, what would you smell?  Is it scary? Is it fun? Is it exciting?

Social Studies: Me on the Map

Students begin to work on map skills. This activity helps them understand their place in the world.  Which country, what contintent, how do we find ourselves on the EARTH???
