New School Development
The Board of Management at St. Joseph's Secondary School Rush is thrilled to announce the plans for a state-of-the-art new school building, set to open in 2027. This ambitious project represents a significant investment in the future of our students and the wider Rush community. Our vision for the new school is to create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and a strong sense of community. The new building will be equipped with modern classrooms, cutting-edge technology, and dedicated learning spaces designed to meet the needs of 21st-century learners.
Students will have access to a wide range of facilities, including a multi-purpose hall, sports facilities, and outdoor recreational areas. These spaces will provide ample opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities, develop their talents, and build lasting friendships. The new school will also prioritize sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly features to minimize our environmental impact. We believe that it is essential to educate our students about environmental issues and to promote sustainable practices. The development will consist of an educational campus composed of two schools:
(A)- The Construction of a three storey 1000 pupil post primary school for St Joseph’s Secondary School comprising of teaching spaces, ancillary spaces, physical education hall facility, special education needs unit, general purpose hall, social areas, library, administration areas, toilet and changing facilities, external stores, and associated ancillary accommodation with a total internal area of circa 10924.300m².
(B)- The Construction of a two-storey building for Gaelscoil Ros Eo comprising of teaching spaces, ancillary spaces, special education needs unit, general purpose hall, social areas, library, administration areas, toilet and changing facilities, external stores, and associated ancillary accommodation with a total internal area of circa 3069.00m²,
Additionally, the development will include all associated site works such as car parking, bicycle parking, shared sports facilities, playing areas, open spaces/landscaping, plant, bin stores, site services, and connections to facilitate the development. There will also be vehicular and pedestrian access to the development via Park Rd.
