Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Mrs. Lori Poston. I was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky, but we have lived in Bowling Green for five years. I have been teaching for 17 years! I taught 5th grade for 10 years, 3rd grade for 3 years, 1st grade for a year, 4th grade for a year, and now I am looking forward to year 17 being the best one yet back in 5th grade! I am married to Josh Poston, who is the district manager at WRECC. We have three wonderful children. Elise is 14 years old and a freshman in high school, Elijah is 9 years old and in 4th grade here at SJS. Rowdy is my baby boy and turned 3 years old in April. I can't wait for Rowdy to be ready for preschool at S.J.S.!! We have two sweet doggies. Wee Man is my 14 year old yorkshire terrier, and Arlo is my new lhasa apso puppy. He is only seven weeks old and so sweet!

I am so excited about this year! I am looking forward to keeping in touch with you in many ways. I will send home weekly newsletters in the orange folders on Mondays. On Sunday evening, I will send out an e-mail, which will have the newsletter and links to both our class website and the folder where all the pictures we've taken will be available to you.
