Highlights!
Almost done with October? The year is cruising!
November 1st is All Saints Day! We are hoping to celebrate it in style. Details to follow!
This week Students will watch and discuss The Social Dilemma Film.
Please take some time to discuss Social Media with your child this week.
It's the Month of the Rosary! Our Lady of the Rosary's feast was October 7th. Please take time to pray the Rosary with your family this month!

Corben University "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" Drama November 9th, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Drivers Needed!)
Currently, I have 4 Volunteers (Schafer, Zapata, Cullison, Bui) seating 24 of our needed 35. We are going to need more. I will be checking with more of you soon, thank you to all who have responded!
6th Grade Religion
This week we will be exploring the Bible Through Sacred Art! We dive into the foreshadowing of Christ through the Prophets! We will also take some time to discuss Saints in preparation for ALL SAINTS DAY!
7th and 8th will also be discussing Saints this week! Eventually, our students will be writing up a presentation on a Saint in preparation for their Confirmation! More details to follow soon.
7/8th Social Studies
This week we will continue diving into our Unit on Mesopotamia!! Wrapping up the Code of Hammurabi this week and attempting the Phoenician Escape Rooms!

English Language Arts
1st Writing Project Complete... Moving on to a short story!
Last week I had a chance to look over your child's writing and work on editing and discussing how to improve their work. Please consider having your child take some typing classes if they are not comfortable typing. This is an important skill for our students to master.
This week we will be reading and discussing some of my favorite short stories including The Monkey's Paw! This is a classic gem with a powerful lesson.
Students have begun reading independently for 20 minutes a day! Please make sure you sign each night. Our first round of Book It! Pizza rewards will be coming out this month!
