On this page you will find my sources. I tried to find the most reliable sources in hopes to limit bias and make my project the most genuine and real project it could be.
Primary sources:
1: Photograph from Kelly Guenther from the New York Times.
The background behind this picture is that she was watching NYI when she saw the first plane crash into one of the towers. Then she grabbed her gear and went to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, where she did her job and recorded the second plane hit. I will be using this in the very beginning of my presentation to show what 9/11 looked like when the first plane hit, and to begin discussing the aftermath. Picture below:
4: This source talks about how the attacks on our country could have been prevented and it was a matter of, or lack of communication that ultimately led to our country being attacked. We saw the signs, but we did not relay them to other branches of government and law enforcement. We saw so many signs but we did not connect the dots to one another. I am going to include all of this information under the slide that talks about Who Is To Blame For 9/11. url to the right of this:
2: Video from 60 minutes overtime talking with a photojournalist and showing clips of videos that he had taken on this day
I’m also going to use this video in the very beginning by talking about 9/11. I will, more than likely, start out with this video on the first slide or two to really scare, or show the truth of just how terrible it was to have been there in New York City. This video shows terror and the distress in people right after the towers had hit and fallen, it is definitely a sight to see. url below:
3: This source talks about how the country had changed the years after the attack. There are stats that show how the public largely put aside their differences to support the nation's major political leadership and institutions. Trust in the government had also been 60 percent more prevalent after the attacks, in a statistic that was made in October 2001. url below:
Secondary Source
1: This is just the trailer to Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror. This source has given me more insight on the U.S. and their perspectives leading up to the terrorist attack. There are interviews with CIA, and national intelligence that shows their views on a lot of ways that we, as a government, could have taken better communications to defend our country better.

2: This website answers one of my essential questions, Who was responsible for the terrorist attacks. It goes into depth talking about the islamic extremist group, Al- Qaeda, who was responsible for the attacks. It also talks about how the U.S. responded to this act of terror against itself.

Book Source
This book is a first hand account, minute to minute, of a man experiencing the attacks. It shows, like the video, the terror and true distress that was faced with the people in New York City that day. It has a great way of masterfully weaving together all the different attacks at the various locations that were targeted. I will be using this in my introduction.
The title of the book is called The Fall and Rise The Story of 9/11 by Mitchell Zuckoff
