What is happening in the Spanish room?
Week 1 - Students are able to greet people at different times of the day . Introducing themselves to someone.
Week 2 - Greetings and Farewells ( Formal/Informal way)
Week 3 - Getting to know each other,being able to use Question words: Quién, Cuando, Donde y Como?
Week 4 - Days of the week, Colors and numbers. September is the month of the Hispanic Heritage so 8th grade will be also exploring Spanish Speaking countries and providing Fun and interesting facts about them!
Week 5 - 6th grade is learning the parts of the Body
7th grade Schedules, School supplies and ordinals numbers
8th Personal pronouns, Telling time and Hispanic Heritage Month curriculum.
Week 6 - 6th Grade is learning how to tell time and the date this week.
7th Grade is going around the classroom and labeling their school supplies.
8th Grade Review What date is today ?/ What time is it ?
and starting our unit " El dia de los muertos"
Week 7- 6th grade is asking and telling time. Review of the parts of the body.
7th grade is using the verb ser ( to be) to tell people's names and personalities
8th grade is telling the date for today and tomorrow and continuing our unit for the
Hispanic festivity of the month "El dia de los muertos".
Week 8 - Jr High will learn more about the meaningful Hispanic Holiday of "El dia de los Muertos"
6th grade will review Time and date this week.
7th grade Numbers, Numbers and personal pronouns
8th grade Personal pronouns/ I Like/I really like/ I don't like.

6th grade: Review of school supplies and numbers from 1-31 ( list was provided to students and numbers were written as notes.
7th grade: Study the prepositions: Students were provided with the list.
8th grade: Crossword Months of the year and weather season.

7th Grade Review about numbers in units, tens and hundreds
8th Grade Day of the Dead Unit preview to the movie Coco, La ofrenda and the meaning of the Holiday.

Junior High will watch the movie Coco and will work on stations related to the it and the meaning of the festivities.

7th grade: Numbers, The gender and plural of the nouns
8th grade : Me gusta, Me gusta mucho, No me gusta ( Students will talk about themselves in a small presentation as they take the oral exam along with the conjugation of 2 verbs ( to sing and to speak)

7th grade: Las frutas y verduras. Cual es tu fruta favorita?

Week of 11/25/19
Students will start a project about a spanish speaking country, including important date and interesting facts about that country.
6th grade will also design a clothespin doll from the country.
7th grade will show how these countries celebrate Christmas
8th grade will describe demographics, interesting facts and will present the actual flag of the country given.
