Objectives:
1. To visit any of the following organisations for learning journey before assigning students to work on the project:
Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
SPCA Singapore – Education Programmes
Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) – Responsible Pet Ownership Programme
2. To be able to produce a document in any form of media to spread the message on animal care or prevention to animal abuse. The product may include the following:
Know how to take care of their own pet covering general care, diet, health, and cleanliness.
Know how they should be housed.
Know when to give food and water.
Know whether they need exercise or not.
Know the name of the nearest veterinary surgery.
Know the telephone number of the SPCA.
Know what to do if they see an injured stray animal.
Know what to do if they see cruelty to an animal.
Know when they are sick apart from the usual symptoms skin, ticks, maggots, wounds, etc.
