Mrs. Mitala

Mrs. Stephanie Mitala is returning for her second year at St. Joseph School-Fullerton, and has been a dedicated middle school mathematics educator since 2003. As a graduate of a K–8 Catholic school, Mrs. Mitala values both faith-filled learning and academic excellence, a perspective that informs her approach to teaching and student engagement.
She holds a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education with a concentration in Urban and Multicultural Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as certifications in Middle-Level Mathematics, Science, and English Language Arts. She also earned a Master’s degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, an Administrator I Certificate from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Illinois.
Throughout her more than two decades in education, Mrs. Mitala has taught a wide range of mathematics courses spanning grades 5 through Algebra I and Geometry. She has also served in various leadership and professional roles, including Math Trainer and Consultant, department chair, professional development presenter, and as a board member of the Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She remains deeply committed to fostering both confidence and conceptual understanding in her students.
