As a graduate of a K-8 Catholic school, she understands the importance of a faith-filled and rigorous academic career. During her K-12 journey, she enjoyed pole vaulting, triple jump, swimming, and basketball. Her mom was her music teacher in grades K-8, so she also plays flute, clarinet, trumpet, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, and just about anything else you give her (with the exception of a trombone and anything with strings). In her time away from school, Mrs. Mitala enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and their five children. You can usually find them hiking, fishing, or watching a good movie at home.
