What's Going on in ELA?

Reading: We have started a new novel, Riding Freedom by : Pam Munoz Ryan! This fictional novel is based on the true story of Charlotte Darkey Parkhurst. 

Writing: Our New Year, Word of the Year writing is an explanatory writing project in which students select a word for 2026 and write to explain why they chose it and how it fits into their lives.

Grammar:  Unit 2 - Nouns, Grammar Quiz - Monday, 1/12/26

Spelling:  Unit 7 begins 1/26/26 after MAP testing and Midterms

Vocab: Units 4-6 review test  - Friday 1/9
