Week of October 27th
Lessons: This week students will practice fraction operations. They will also work on Halloween assignments.
Google Classroom - Please have your child check Google Classroom for homework and assignment postings.

Exit Tickets/Graded Assignments: Students should expect to have Exit Tickets (quizzes) or graded assignments as we complete each lesson.
Online Math Resources:
XTraMath: This is an online website to help students with their math fact fluency. A parent letter was given to the students with information on how to access accounts from home. This site begins with addition facts, then subtraction, next multiplication, and then division facts.
iXL Skills: iXL is a great resource that we use in the classroom, and it can be used at home as well. I have starred many of the skills that we have learned in class. In addition, each student has a personalized MAP Growth Plan on iXL. This plan is tailored with specific skills for each student's learning needs.
Week of October 20th
Lessons: This week students will finish chapter 2 on rational numbers. A quiz on Lesson 2.4, ordering rational numbers, is on Monday, October 20th. A test on chapter 2 is planned for Wednesday, October 22st. Later this week, we will begin chapter 3 on fraction division.
Multiplication Fluency - Students will also continue to practice multiplication fluency. This week they will focus on 12's multiplication facts The students will have worksheets to help them study. A timed multiplication facts quiz on 12's is on Friday, October 24th.
Important Announcement:
Exit Tickets/Graded Assignments: Students should expect to have Exit Tickets (quizzes) or graded assignments as we complete each lesson. An exit ticket on lesson 2.4 is planned for Monday, October 20th.

Lesson: This week students will continue with rational numbers. The focus this week will be on lesson 2.3 least common multiples (LCM) and greatest common factors (GCF), and lesson 2.4 Order Rational Numbers.
Multiplication Fluency - Students will also continue to practice multiplication fluency. This week they will focus on 8's multiplication facts The students will have worksheets to help them study. A timed multiplication facts quiz on 8's is on Friday, October 10th. The students now have access to XtraMath, an online website to help them with their math fact fluency. Not only is this good for multiplication facts, but division facts too. A parent letter was sent home with information on how to access accounts at home.

Lesson: This week students will continue with rational numbers. The focus this week will be on lesson 2.2 compare rational numbers and lesson 2.3 least common multiples (LCM) and greatest common factors (GCF).
Multiplication Fluency - Students will also continue to practice multiplication fluency. This week they will focus on 7's multiplication facts The students will have worksheets to help them study. A timed multiplication facts quiz on 7's is on Thursday, October 2nd.

Week of September 22nd
Lesson: This week we will begin a new unit on rational numbers. The focus this week will be on lesson 2.1 interpret rational numbers and lesson 2.2 compare rational numbers.
Multiplication Facts: Students will practice 6's multiplication facts and complete a timed quiz on Friday, September 26th.

Lesson: Students will complete the unit on integers, finishing with absolute value. A unit test is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th.
Multiplication Facts: Students will practice multiplication facts (2, 3, 4, 5, and 10's)and complete a timed quiz on Thursday, September 18th.

Lesson: Students will continue to work with integers. This week they will continue identifying integers and their opposites on number lines. They will also compare integers and learn about absolute value. An Exit Ticket on Lesson 1.1 is planned for Tuesday.
