Week of October 6th
Lesson: This week students will continue with rational numbers. The focus this week will be on lesson 2.3 least common multiples (LCM) and greatest common factors (GCF), and lesson 2.4 Order Rational Numbers.
Multiplication Fluency - Students will also continue to practice multiplication fluency. This week they will focus on 8's multiplication facts The students will have worksheets to help them study. A timed multiplication facts quiz on 8's is on Friday, October 10th. The students now have access to XtraMath, an online website to help them with their math fact fluency. Not only is this good for multiplication facts, but division facts too. A parent letter was sent home with information on how to access accounts at home.
Important Announcement:
Exit Tickets/Graded Assignments: Students should expect to have Exit Tickets (quizzes) or graded assignments as we complete each lesson.
Multiplication Quiz: A timed multiplication quiz is scheduled for Friday, October 10th.
Week of September 29th
Lesson: This week students will continue with rational numbers. The focus this week will be on lesson 2.2 compare rational numbers and lesson 2.3 least common multiples (LCM) and greatest common factors (GCF).

Week of September 22nd
Lesson: This week we will begin a new unit on rational numbers. The focus this week will be on lesson 2.1 interpret rational numbers and lesson 2.2 compare rational numbers.
Multiplication Facts: Students will practice 6's multiplication facts and complete a timed quiz on Friday, September 26th.

Exit Tickets: Students should expect to have Exit Tickets (quizzes) as we complete each lesson.
Multiplication Quiz: A timed multiplication quiz is scheduled for Friday, September 26th
Textbooks: Please cover your child's math textbook, as this is a consumable book and may tear easily if left uncovered.
Week of September 15th
Lesson: Students will complete the unit on integers, finishing with absolute value. A unit test is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th.
Multiplication Facts: Students will practice multiplication facts (2, 3, 4, 5, and 10's)and complete a timed quiz on Thursday, September 18th.

Exit Tickets: Students should expect to have Exit Tickets (quizzes) as we complete each lesson. An Exit Ticket on Lesson 1.3 is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17th.
Unit Test: Unit 1 test scheduled for Wednesday, September 17th.
Multiplication Quiz: A timed multiplication quiz is scheduled for Thursday, September 18th.

Week of September 8th
Lesson: Students will continue to work with integers. This week they will continue identifying integers and their opposites on number lines. They will also compare integers and learn about absolute value. An Exit Ticket on Lesson 1.1 is planned for Tuesday.
