INTRODUCTION
As we and our children are forced more and more online due to COVID-19 as well as living in the digital age, we have put together some tips and guidelines on how to manage this online world. Some are more able to manage during non-COVID times but are still very relevant.
By setting up restrictions or parental controls, you can decide how much access a child has to install, delete, buy and manage apps and access sites on the internet.
Strict internet filtering at home may help protect children when they are inside your house but the platforms are so very easily accessed from so many areas.
We need to ensure our relationships with our children are strong offline and then we can have the same strong online relationships and discussions.

Screen Time lets you see how family members are using their devices, so you can structure the time they spend on them.
You can set up Screen Time for a family member on their device or, if you’ve set up Family Sharing, you can set up Screen Time for a family member on your device
Very important:
You have to use a password to activate this function. If you forget the password, you have to wipe the device.
Don't give the password to your son.
If they ask you to input the password, ensure that the screen recording function is not on. Your keystrokes will be recorded in the video and this will allow your son to see the password. You will see a red recording button on the top left of the screen.

On an iPad or iPhone, you can check which apps are taking up the most battery time.
Steps to follow:

A screen will appear showing what apps have used the battery in the last 24 hours as well as the last 10 days.
