Newton Families Together (NFT)

Welcome to Newton Families Together

A very warm welcome to Newton Families Together. We comprise a group of parents who collectively are here to represent the parents and carers of children at Newton Primary School.

The current office bearers are: –

Co-Chairs:  Kim McInally-Buckley and Penny Langford

Secretary:  Liz Robertson

Treasurer:  Linsey Nash 

Fundraising Co-Ordinators:  Gillian Barret (lead) and Kirstie Speed 

We have a group of Parent Representatives who represent the nursery and each class in the school. Together we hope to provide a means of communication between the parent forum and the school. We meet once per term with the school senior management team and the google meet link is sent out on the Newton Note.

The aims of the Newton Families Together group are:

• To promote partnership between the school, its pupils and all its parents

• To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils

• To engage in fundraising activities for the benefit of Newton Primary School and its pupils (from Nursery to Primary 7)

• To identify and represent the view of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils.

Newton Families Together is an umbrella organisation for different subgroups such as the Fundraising Group and Garden Group. Over time we hope to develop more parent led groups which will feed into Newton Families Together team. These groups will engage in activities to develop the school and enhance experiences for children at Newton Primary School.
