EMA
The Educational Maintenance Allowance is an allowance of £30 paid directly to eligible pupils. Full information as well as the form can be found at the above button.
Young Carers
We continue to work in partnership with Stirling Carers Centre in supporting some of our young people.
In addition, we have continued with the very successful junior young carers group who meet with Mr Turnbull and Miss Cooper regularly throughout the term.
DHS Uniform Bank
We have a range of uniform items available for Dunblane High School pupils. The items have been donated by members of the school community and are available to you free of charge.
This scheme encourages local recycling of school clothing, reduces costs to families and delivers environmental benefits.
The uniform bank has been utilised effectively during the school day by young people where required and has been received well at events such as parents' nights and information evenings. This will continue at appropriate events held in school.
We thank you for your contributions. We are still accepting donations; these can be handed in to the main office.
Team TOM & Free Sanitary Products
In line with the Period Product Act from the Scottish Government we continue to ensure period products are free and accessible for all members of the Dunblane High School community who require them.
We have period products accessible in boxes in the PE changing rooms, the disabled toilets, in the office, in Pupil Support, in the Atrium and in the PE base. We had to remove the products available in the main bathroom due to misuse but are looking at ways in which to reintroduce these. We are in the process of ensuring there are boxes in teachers' classrooms for pupils to access.
Team TOM are a volunteer group of 18 pupils in S6. They will check when period products need resupplied and also speak at assemblies and continue to raise awareness around periods.
LEAPS is a successful and unique widening participation programme where Dunblane HS are categorised as a group 2 school and have received support over the last 3 years for identified pupils, who meet the eligibility criteria, to progress into further education.
