Opened in 1974, Dunblane High School is a non-denominational six-year comprehensive school providing courses for pupils of all abilities at all stages.
There is great interest in, and concern for, education in the area and we enjoy positive relationships with parents and others in the community. A very large proportion of our young people go on to higher education.
Work on the new building finished in November 2007 and the school was opened to pupils on 19 November 2007.
Pupils from Dunblane Primary School, Newton Primary School, and St Mary's Episcopal Primary School transfer automatically to Dunblane High at the end of their primary education if they live in the catchment area.
Our newly defined mission statement, ‘Supporting all our young people to do their best, to be their best and to improve outcomes for all’ is central to how we work within Dunblane High School. We are committed to providing our young people with the environment, opportunities and support that they require for them to ‘do their best’. We emphasise the importance of the application of effort and this is embedded within our structure of data collection, reporting and celebrating success. We are clear that part of our mission as a school is to support our young people to have a strong moral compass, to know right from wrong, to display the school values in their daily actions and to be the best version of themselves. We strive to support all our young people ‘to be their best’. We are dedicated having positive relationships, to leave no stone unturned, to work collaboratively with partners to ensure that our young people are able to leave Dunblane High School, happy and successful and to transition into a positive and sustainable destination. We are committed to ‘improving outcomes for all’ of our young people.

Dunblane High School is grateful to belong to a supportive and vibrant community. With thanks to local businesses, organisations, charities and clubs, our young people can make links with the wider world, engage with social issues and understand the impact of their actions on their community. These partnerships are invaluable to us in helping our young people to become better Global Citizens.
We thank our parents, local business' and organsiations for providing us with work experience opportunities, access to their expertise and reinforcing our school values.
