About Me

In my free time I enjoy ultimate Frisbee, scuba diving, solving math problems for fun, and hanging out with friends. I have a strong passion for education, mathematics, and leadership. My ultimate professional goal is to receive my PhD in Educational Psychology and to become an influential leader and researcher in education.

Education:

This is my fifth and hopefully final year as a PhD student in the Educational Psychology program at Oklahoma State University. I am working hard to successfully write and defend my dissertation by May 2021! I have a Master’s degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from OSU, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics / English as A Second Language from UWSP. My research interests include: “at risk youth”, trauma informed instructional practices, classroom management, school discipline, assessment, and teacher professional development.

Experience:

I have five years of full-time teaching and coaching experience at both the elementary and high school levels. Born and raised in Antigo, Wisconsin, but currently reside in Stillwater, OK with my beautiful wife, precious foster kiddos, and puppy dog Junee! In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, scuba diving, and playing ultimate Frisbee!
