Service Hours Information 2024-2025
Service hours for students will return to quarterly hours.
5th grade - 1 hour 6th grade - 2 hours
7th grade - 3 hours 8th grade - 4 hours
Key Points to remember regarding service hours
Service hours cannot be performed for family members.
Service hours must be completed outside of the school day.
To receive full credit for service hours, students must complete the handwritten (no typed papers will be accepted) service journal, along with the supervisor section filled out completely.
Students may not receive any payment for service hours
A service can only be duplicated once in a school year.
No partial credit is given for service hours. For example, if a 6th-grade student completes 1 hour, they will receive no credit; they must complete 2 hours of service.
Services must be people-oriented per the SF handbook (page __)
Due Dates for Service Hours are as follows:
1st Quarter -Wednesday, October 9, 2024
2nd Quarter -Tuesday, January 7, 2025
3rd Quarter -Tuesday, March 11, 2025
4th Quarter - Wednesday, May 14, 2025
For the school year 2024-2025, students will be allowed to complete summer hours on St. Francis de Sales campuses (school or parish) supervised by faculty or parish officials.

Altar Serving at your Parish, working at the concession stand at athletic events*,
volunteering at athletic events for duties such as clean up.*
* When volunteering for the concession stand and at athletic events, you must sign up in advance with Mr. Swierkos. These opportunities are need-based and vary from event to event. If working the concession stand, a parent will need to be present.
