Grades 3 and 4

The theme of this year is Interactions. Covering biology, physics, and earth science, students will investigate the interactions between:

  • Individual plants and animals within their populations
  • Living things in their environment
  • Factors that create weather and climate
  • Objects in motion

This class focuses on classroom activities and small-group projects to keep students engaged. Additionally, students will plan and conduct experiments for the Science Fair in April and participate in engineering projects throughout the year.

For the week (s) of September 5 through 14 students will be introduced to weather and climate, conducting an in-class project to understand the climates of Southern California and other parts of the world.
