The car was able to be moved under its own power for the first time on April 29th. This is a video to test its response going over a parking spot stop at about 10 miles per hour. The shocks were set in their baseline settings for 12" ground clearance. The main takeaway from this test was the importance of rebound and damping settings in the rear shocks. By increasing the rebound settings, the rear tires can return to the ground much quicker.
With the brake system installed, it was tested to ensure operation. The calipers, rotors, and pedal were all made in-house between the Senior Design team and the SAE Baja club. This video proved successful operation of the braking system, and showed that an improved bleeding system is necessary for optimal braking power.
