Senior Design Plan

Throughout CPE 322, we have researched the problem of overpriced and lower quality MIDI controllers, as well as the feasibility of a solution to this problem in the form of a Modular MIDI Controller. While we as a group do believe that this problem has real weight on beginner musicians as can be seen through our problem statement, we believe that we must interview musicians and see if our solution would be worth the hassle of buying all these extra parts. Our solution has thoroughly been laid out in our design diagrams and project modeling, and seem to be an amalgamation of everything we have learned in our college career from signal processing, to software implementation, to circuit building. It would be new technology in the audio engineering space however, meaning there will be little resources to go off of when actually building the MIDI controller possibly limiting what we can do in our time as seniors. For these reasons, we are unsure of if we will go forward with the Modular MIDI controller, but will give it serious thought as our decision deadline approaches.
