Intellectual Properties

Modular MIDI wants to make its technology community driven. For this reason, we chose to incorporate both Open Source Software (OSS) and Open Source Hardware (OSH) licenses into the software and hardware we create. This can allow the community to create new modules and drivers for the controller if they please. This will allow for more features to be available in the controller than if we did all of it ourselves, after all we can do more together! We did not require any trademarks for this project, and are not choosing to file for any patents to keep the technology replicable by anyone who chooses.
