Our Work:
Our website's name and logo would have to be trademarked
We originally wanted to use the name "GalleryGuild". When doing a search on uspto.gov, we found that "GalleryGuild" is not a trademarked name and neither is "GalleryGuild.net", but there are other websites out there called GalleryGuild.
We pivoted to "RoamingCanvas", which, when doing a search on uspto.gov, we found no trademarks, no patents, and no copyright on both the Official Public Catalog or the Copyright Public Records System Pilot for "Roaming Canvas" or "RoamingCanvas".
Our website's logo and site design would need to be copyrighted
We don't have a logo or site design yet, but we would have to make sure not to infringe on any copyright when we do design it.
Our project does not need patents, since we won't be making any new algorithms or designs with our website
