Endangerment: The user should consider not wearing the Kinetic Compass while committing an activity that may endanger themself or others if distracted. (e.g., operation of heavy machinery such as a car)
Plastic: As with most products, our watch will likely contain some plastic content. As such, the spread of microplastics will be almost inevitable when the watch is disposed after its useful life has ended.
Using organic substitutes whenever possible will reduce the total microplastic emission when the watch is disposed of, thus reducing environmental impact. We shall also provide a disposal service; if the consumer ships a product past its useful life they no longer want, we shall recycle it to our complete ability!
Batteries: Since most electronic products use batteries, and ours is no exception, after the useful life of our watch has elasped, the battery in the device needs to be handled and disposed of properly.
We shall look into making our compass's battery replaceable, so that the lifetime of the battery can be treated independently of the lifetime of the watch itself. In addition, we shall make removal of the battery, replaceable or not, easy to do for the user. We shall make sure that the battery technology used in the product is as recyclable as possible.
