To provide students with the opportunity to have a voice in how their school is represented. Students deserve the opportunity to demonstrate their pride in being a Sterling City Eagle. The society aims to bring the student body closer together and create ties between the community and their school.
The society also provides all students the ability to represent their school and take action in doing so. This will allow students to gain leadership skills and develop a voice that is heard.
Membership to the Golden Eagle Society is open to any interested student currently passing all classes. The society will accept new members at the start of each semester (in August and January).
To remain a Golden Eagle, students should:
Actively participate in representative committees of the society
Be willing to serve for an entire school year
Be required to attend all society meetings up to the sponsor's discretion
Model good citizenship on campus at all times
Members are expected to serve as respectable student leaders within and outside the classroom.
Be a full-time student at SCISD
Be passing all classes they are enrolled in
Failure to uphold the Golden Eagle requirements above could result in a written warning and/or removal from the club with sponsor and administrative review for approval.
