Continuing with our mission of teaching emergency radio communications post hurricane Helene, we are setting up brief community 'workshops'.  Here you'll learn valuable radio communications by actually handling a GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) handy talky. I've selected the Baofeng UV5R as it continues to assist in saving lives of many folks impacted during this disaster, as well as improving communications in isolated areas. It is functional, easy to operate and low cost.
