Message from the Police:
Dear Parents,
I have been made aware from some of our local Sutton schools that a large whatsapp group has been circulating amongst our young people. I would appreciate if you could check your children’s phones and advise them to only be in whatsapp groups with friends and family who they ‘know in real life’.
Please see below some online safety messages regarding social media apps that could be helpful to you.
If you have any concerns, please contact your Designated Safeguarding Leads at your school or contact 101.

Parents will also be able to attend family swims (with their child).
Staff will receive a month of membership which includes access to our gym, pool, classes, sauna and steam room.

You will see a banner on the main gates outside the school with the QR code. Scan the QR code and book the any of the above which is completely free of charge.
Good luck!
Smartphones
There's a lot of talk going on right now about a smartphone-free childhood. All of this makes things very difficult for parents who want clear information to make an informed decision.
Internet Matters have lots of clear information which should be useful for parents.
