‘Guided by God to love, trust, hope, serve and inspire the best in everyone.’
Message from Mrs Mann...
Dear Parents, Carers and Children,
I can't believe we are almost at half term break already! We have had such an enjoyable half term and we have some exciting events to look forward to once we come back too! It was wonderful to see so many families join us for our Harvest Festival celebration in school and as always we were so proud of the confidence and respect shown by our pupils on these occasions. We are so lucky to have Nick from St Dunstan's join us in school - it is always such a pleasure to have him here.
The children have been very busy with their learning - don't forget to look up our article about Year 4's Roman day! In addition to this, the children have had lots of sporting achievements with the girls reaching the semi-finals at a football event at Crystal Palace and our cross country runners completing a brilliant run on Thursday afternoon.
Sadly, we are saying some goodbyes this half term. We will be losing our lovely Mrs Bolt who has been with us for 16 years as she has landed her dream job with a charity. We are going to miss her dearly but we know she will be absolutely fantastic in her new role and we wish her every success in the future.
We will also be saying goodbye to one of our teaching assistants, Miss Suffee, who has shown such dedication and commitment to some of learners with SEND. We do wish her every success in her next steps.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing the children and staff on Monday.
Reflection:
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12
In Worship, we have been thinking about kindness and reflecting on how kindness should be a choice we make and a life we choose.
We need your help...
Website:
We are going to relaunch our website over the next few months and we would like our parents to be part of this. Please complete this FORM if you would like to share your ideas with us. We cannot promise to include every single idea but we would like to know your thoughts.
Friends of Cheam Church School (FCCS):
As a reminder, please contribute if you can. This is supportive to the school in that it helps maintain our building and site. We are so grateful for your support in this. Your £50 contribution can be made on: www.parentpay.com
Community:
Please could we ask you all to be mindful of our neighbours when coming to and from school. We have had communication from some that our families are blocking their driveways. This would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
