God’s Kingdom
In first grade we attend one weekly 8:00 AM Mass in addition to
our monthly 9:30 AM school liturgy and participate daily in our
school-wide Morning Prayers assembly as well as Afternoon
Prayers in our classroom. Special devotion to Mary and the
rosary are shared at Morning Prayers during the months of
October and May. Grace is recited before snack, lunch, and
special snacks such as birthday and holiday celebrations. There
are many opportunities to integrate our faith and religious
beliefs throughout our day!
In addition to our adopted textbook series, Alive in Christ by
Our Sunday Visitor, additional curriculum resources include our
Diocesan Virtus Child Safety program, Family Life curriculum,
and many Bible stories and read aloud books.
