We are excited to announce our “Home Connections” learning program! Your child is going to love learning and will work toward earning prizes to reward their hard work. We can’t wait to celebrate the growth of our students in this program.

Who: Students requiring additional support in learning their trick words for reading and writing will participate.

What: Resources include a monthly Home Connections Choice Board and a weekly Activity Log with a trick words list.

When/Where: Students will complete at least 5 Choice Board Activities at home each week and return their completed Activity Log signed by a parent/guardian for a reward.

Weekly Check-Ins: Tuesday is Mrs. Beine's Class; Wednesday is 3rd Grade, Thursday is Mrs. Overton and Mrs. Durbin's Class, and Friday is 1st Grade

How: Students will complete a minimum of 5 activities at home each week and have their Activity Log signed by a parent/guardian. Students that do not complete the minimum of 5 activities, will participate in our daily Learning Lab during recess supported by Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Settlemoir, and Mrs. Trauterman.

Why: Students must read and spell trick words to be successful readers and writers.
