I was born in Bozeman, Montana and raised in Tacoma, Washington. I attended Stadium High School. While at Stadium, I was a varsity athlete and captain of both my soccer and basketball teams. As a varsity athlete I learned hard work ethic, leadership, and teamwork. It was during this time of my life when I became aspired to educate the youth to live healthy lifestyles and give kids the resources to be physically active for a lifetime.
In regards to my educational background, I earned Bachelor’s Degree in Education from New Mexico State University and a Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Though these are great accomplishments, none measure up to getting married to my college sweetheart, Angela Malo on 12/11/2010. Angela is my best friend and my rock to this day. We live in Tacoma with our Two kids Dean and Emmy.
For my first five years I was blessed to work at Holy Family Catholic school in Auburn, WA. teaching Physical Education and Math. I love teaching, I love kids and I love working in the catholic community. I am sincerely blessed with the opportunity since 2013 to work at St. Charles. Being an educator is a pivotal role in any child’s life, but the fact that I get to share in my Catholicism, values and beliefs in my teaching, is truly a blessing. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, sports, sporting events, movies, and spending time with my family. My family and God’s love have made me who I am today and I am eternally grateful for them. I always look forward to working with St. Charles’ amazing team. They are always so much fun, dynamic and caring group of professionals.
