Bayonet: is a blade that is attached to the end of a rifle
Ammunitions: supplies or quantities of bullets and shells for wars
Privateers: individuals commissioned by the Continental Congress to attack and take supplies from British ships
Barricade: block; obstruct
Fortify: strengthen a place against attack
The Committee of Five: John Hancock appointed a committee of five men to draft a document to declare independence. The five delegates are Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert Livingston
Thomas Jefferson: served as the primary author of the Declaration of Independence document
Mercenary: a professional soldier hired to serve in a foreign army
