Welcome to Third Grade (Room 104)!

My name is Mrs. Marian Bechay, and I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching your child this year! I'm so proud and excited to be teaching third grade after two years in fourth grade, seven successful and fruitfulness years as a teacher assistant at St. Bartholomew School, and three years as a paraprofessional in NY.

I have a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Egypt and am currently working toward my NJ Standard Certificate. I'm also a proud alumni of St. Joseph Catholic School in Alexandria, Egypt.

I grew up in Egypt and moved to the United States in 2010. I currently reside in Monroe with my husband, our 2 children (Cyril - 10th grade, and Cybil - 9th grade) who are proud alumni of St. Bartholomew School, and our cute puppy Mocho.

My goal is to help every child strengthen their reading, writing, and math while building positive habits such as responsibility, and organization. I will guide every student in practicing kindness, empathy, and respectful communication with one another. I aim to create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, welcomed, valued, and comfortable sharing their thoughts. I will guide and support students as they grow in their friendship with Jesus.

For fun, I enjoy playing with my kids, going to the beach, and online shopping. My favorite color is red. My favorite drink is Starbucks Coffee. My favorite food is steak.

I'm looking forward to an amazing and successful school year filled with growth, learning, and joyful moments.
