Every September, Colorado celebrates Workforce Development Month, recognized by Governor Jared Polis. It’s a time to highlight the importance of helping people build the skills and connections they need to succeed in their careers, while also supporting businesses in finding the talent they need.
This year, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) is focusing on several key themes. We’re celebrating the launch of Connecting Colorado, a new and improved job-matching platform. We’re working to create opportunities for all Coloradans, making sure people from every background have clear paths to success. And we’re lifting up the role of businesses and regional partners who are working together to meet workforce needs across the state.
Workforce Development Month is not just a celebration. It is also a reminder of the important work we share in building a strong economy where every Coloradan has the chance to thrive.
Workforce Development Month is a chance to showcase the important work happening in every part of Colorado. CDLE has created a partner toolkit with resources you can use to highlight local events, share stories, and show the impact of workforce programs in your community.
By using the toolkit, you can:
Shine a spotlight on your work and the people you serve
Show your leadership locally by connecting your efforts to a statewide celebration
Build stronger partnerships with businesses, educators, and community organizations
Inspire jobseekers and workers by sharing clear opportunities and success stories
Getting involved helps your organization stand out and connects your local work to a larger, statewide effort. Together, we can make sure Workforce Development Month is a moment where communities across Colorado see the value of investing in people and creating opportunities for all.
The toolkit includes two sets of assets you can use throughout September 30, 2025.
The first set highlights Workforce Development Month themes broadly, with messages and graphics you can share to celebrate the month and spotlight workforce programs across Colorado.

The second set focuses on Connecting Colorado, the state’s new job-matching platform, giving you ready-to-use content to introduce this resource to your community and encourage people to get started.

Included in each you will find:
Shareable social media graphics and supporting post copy
Newsletter content
Easy-to-print collateral, like one-pagers and guides
Together, these tools make it easy to celebrate Workforce Development Month while also promoting a key solution that helps connect jobseekers and employers.
Here are a few easy ways to put the toolkit into action in your community:
Pair graphics with provided copy to share ready-to-go posts on social media or websites.
Use graphics with your own local messages to highlight community events, success stories, or programs.
Print and distribute handouts at job fairs, partner meetings, or community events.
Add newsletter copy as written for quick communication, or customize it to reflect local priorities and opportunities.
Share materials with partners so they can help spread the word in your community.
If you need help customizing any of these resources, CDLE staff are available to help. For assistance, please reach out to cdle_pr@state.co.us.
