The MDS 3.0 QM User’s Manual V16.0 Risk Adjustment Appendix File is now available. The Risk-Adjustment Appendix File for the MDS 3.0 Quality Measures User’s Manual accompanies the MDS 3.0 QM Manual Version 16 and contains the logistic regression coefficient values used to calculate the risk-adjusted quality measures that are included in the Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI), effective October 1, 2023. Select the link to find out what the changes encompass.
The Five Star Preview Reports were made available on or around July 24, 2024. Provider Preview Reports (PPR) moved to iQIES as of August 2023. The steps outlined below will aid in locating the PPR in iQIES:
1) Log in to iQIES
2) Select the 'My Reports' option from the Reports menu
3) From the My Reports page, locate the Provider Preview Reports folder
Nursing Home Care Compare will update with the May Five Star data on or around July 31, 2024.

Effective with the July 2024 refresh, CMS is changing the staffing case-mix adjustment methodology to a model based on the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) and will post staffing level measures that use this methodology. Select the above link for more details about the updated case-mix adjustment for staffing level measures and refer to the "Case-Mix Adjustment" section under the "Staffing Domain" of this document. Changes are identified in red, italicized text.
