Guidance training for nursing home providers/stakeholders is available now in the Quality, Safety, and Education Portal (QSEP) (https://qsep.cms.gov/welcome.aspx) to explain the updates and changes of the regulations and interpretive guidance.

CMS has also revised Chapter 5 of the State Operations Manual regarding oversight of complaints and Facility Reported incidents (FRIs). It has also developed a Psychosocial Outcome Severity Guide to assist surveyors in determining the scope and severity of deficiencies that resulted in a negative psychosocial outcome.
