Home > Labor Allocation > Job Aids > View Pay Check Records
Use this View Pay Check Records job aid to search for and review pay check information from the Labor Distribution Adjustment (LDA) activity folder in CORE Payroll. This activity folder allows you to query pay check data based on Employee, by Home Department, Home Unit, by GTN Run Number, and by Check Date. Once a record is located, the user can initiate a Labor Correction Redistribution Request for the Pay Check.
Before you begin, make sure:
You have the Employee ID, Home Department, Home Unit, or other Payroll transaction information for the pay check you wish to view.
The appropriate payroll cycle must have been run in order for the pay records to be populated in the Pay Check table.
Use Global Search to navigate to the Labor Distribution Adjustment page: Click the expand/collapse icon in the global search bar, select Page Code, enter LDA, and select LDA Labor Distribution Adjustment from the drop-down list.
The Labor Distribution Adjustment page displays.
The Pay Check tab is used to view historical pay check information.
2. Click the Pay Check Tab.
3. Populate one or more of the filters to locate the pay check(s) you wish to review. For example: Employee ID, Home Department, Home Unit, GTN Run Number, Check Date.
4. Click Search.
Pay check records that match entered search criteria are displayed in the Grid Results table.
5. The first time you view this journal, you may wish to customize your columns to include additional fields that will help in your review of journal entries. This is a one-time setup activity. To do so, select the Gear icon above the grid results table. Add the following fields:
Paycheck Start Date
Paycheck End Date
6. Select a pay check record to be reviewed.
7. If you have not customized your columns as directed in Step 5 above, click the expand/collapse arrow (>) for that record to see pay period start and pay period end dates associated with the pay check.
Expanding a record in the Grid Results Table shows the Pay Period Start Date and Pay Period End Date associated with a pay check.
8. To correct payroll and fringe expense entries associated with the selected record, click the row-level, 3-dot menu. Then select Related Actions, Create Labor Cost Redistribution Request for Pay Check (LCRR). This option corrects payroll expense and fringe expense entries associated with the selected employee and paycheck. The related entries are brought into the LCRR together; however, each line must be reviewed and updated individually.
Example: An employee transferred to a new department, but CORE Payroll was not updated before payroll ran. Use this option to redistribute the payroll and fringe expenses associated with the paycheck to the correct department. Each applicable line must be updated individually.
An LCRR transaction is initiated for the pay check.
The following job aid provides additional details regarding the process for creating the LCRR.
