TAP Training Resources
At TAP, one of the most important jobs as accessibility consultants is to guide and advise on accessibility best practices, as it relates to training and assessing skills. The following skills will help your agency to begin creating and purchasing accessible technology.
For questions about accessibility training contact TAP at OIT_accessibility@state.co.us.
Access Academy
TAP/Access Academy Accessibility Training Courses
The TAP training team is excited to share accessibility training courses now available through Level Access' Access Academy. These courses are specific in topic, and have been selected by the TAP training team to assist agency staff in areas such as web content, design, development, and testing.
Seating is limited and provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Anyone who is NOT actively participating, meaning the enrolled participant has not logged in nor interacted with the content in 90 days, will be removed from Access Academy and the open spot will then be given to the next person on the waiting list.
Before signing up, please consider the following:
You need to have, or will have, the majority of your job responsibilities corresponding to the training course topics.
You will be a point of contact for accessibility within the agency (meaning, you need the skills to then help train others within the agency).
You should also have the time and desire to learn more about the accessibility topics on the course list.
Once you are approved and in the training system you will receive a welcome email from Level Access (look for this sender email address - Academy@levelaccess.com). Follow the instructions in the welcome email to begin your learning journey!

Current Siteimprove users can access the courses by following these steps:
Click "Help Center and Training"
Select the option for "Training and Certificates"
You will be taken to the Frontier platform and your user information will be added to Frontier.
You can now navigate to the course catalog and begin taking courses in Frontier.
Links to the most commonly used training for state agencies are listed below. Please ensure that you follow the steps above before utilizing these links. It is very important that users navigate to training via the Siteimprove platform first, especially the first time they use the training platform.
