Run Clinic For Triathletes

COACHED RUN CLINIC FOR TRIATHLETES  ***Completed***

For most triathletes completing a sprint or standard distance triathlon, the race comes down to how strong you finish that 5 or 10 km run. 


St. Albert Road Runners and Triathlon (STARRT) Club is pleased to offer a 9-week coached Run Clinic, timed to have you peak for the St. Albert Triathlon and the summer race season.


Jason Britton will coach the Clinic at St. Albert's Fowler Athletic Park (track). Workouts will focus on running technique/improvement to get you across the finish line strong and smiling! The Clinic is suitable for runners of all abilities. All you need is a pair of running shoes, a water bottle and the desire to "up" your running game.


Here are the details:

Dates: Monday evenings: June 5 - July 31 (9 sessions)

Time: 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Location: Fowler Athletic Park - 63 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, St. Albert  

Cost: $100 per person plus service charges

Meet our Coach: Jason Britton

Jason has more than 20 years experience as an NCCP swim and triathlon coach, coaching athletes from 4-84 years of age at abilities ranging from beginner to elite. Between 2008-2014 Jason was Canada’s Age Group Triathlon World Championship Team Coach. He has a Bachelors in Physical Education with a focus in Sport Performance and is also an NCCP coaching course facilitator and coach evaluator. Jason has been the evening swim coach and run clinic coach for STARRT since 2018.

Jason doesn’t just instruct others on what to do...he does it himself. He competed in his first triathlon in 1994, at the St. Albert Kids of Steel. Since that time he has completed more than 300 triathlons worldwide, including 40 World Championship races as a U23, Elite, and Age Group athlete at all distances from sprint to Ironman. In 2011 he was Canada’s standard distance age group triathlete of the year.
